We signed him from Brighton, he only played 9 matches, scoring one goal, but was utter pants. The fact that we offloaded him to non league Horsham spoke volumes.

Chapman being shit is a bit harsh. He was about 40 when we signed him and he scored against Man U in a 2-2 draw which was one of my best games apart from ince equalising late on. We beat Kidderminster away in the cup and he got the goal. Pretty sure it was one of those beam back games. Then again didnt Redknapp sub him for a fan in a pre season game.

Jones, Chapman and Dowie all scored important goals for us. They might not have been world beaters and may have made us pull our hair out at times, but they all put in a shift, appeared on the scoresheet every so often and are therefore nowhere near some of the uninterested, talentless, ineffective shite that's put on a c&b shirt.

Dailly wouldn't be anywhere near a worst team, as he may not have been brilliant, but he gave a shit massively and scored an extremely important play off goal.
Wayne Quinn on the other hand is a must!

I liked Hilton after winning the Chelsea 4-1 relegation scrap.
He was brought in to replace Strodder after a good few months after Lyall had tried him out up front. The howls and ranting and abuse when his name was read out made him sound like some sort of child killing villain rather than another failed replacement for McAvennie. I always wondered if the players could ever hear that popularity contest ritual before the game.
But he had a sound game against decent strikers like Dixon and Durie and scored the final goal. Felt good to see that.

Breen was next level shit. One of the worst ever performances in the shirt was his against Man Utd in the Cup at Old Trafford when we were hammered 6-0
We left after an hour when they scored their 5th.

Hilton and Dailly, although not great, were way above the standard of McKnight, Breen, Camara and McCarthy.
